"Ask the Expert" is a co-curricular program of the Fordham Entrepreneurship Center.
Experts avail themselves to meet with students and alumni from the Fordham community, and address their questions and share information.
January Featured Expert: Jason Price
Expertise Key Areas: Online marketing, branding, and strategy in the hospitality industry; advises on business school options and the executive MBA
Expert Bio: After graduating from Fordham’s MBA, Mr. Price helped found Hospitality eBusiness Strategies (www.HospitalityeBusiness.com), a top marketing and strategy consulting firm in the hospitality industry working with major brands, hotel asset management companies, and hotel companies. After graduating Mr. Price published a book about the Executive MBA and founded EMBA World (www.EMBAWorld.com); where he helps employees and employers understand business school options including the role of the EMBA. Since 2001 he has been with HeBS and 2004 with EMBA World

February Featured Expert: Emily Campbell
Expertise Key Areas: Legal transactional and litigation matters, serving clients across a variety of industries, including, among others, Fashion, Entertainment, Technology, Telecommunications, Venture Capital, Financial Services, Real Estate, Travel, Consulting, and Health Care.
Expert Bio: Her entrepreneurial experience extends beyond founding her own law firm and includes real estate investment in residential and mixed-use properties in New York City, Upstate New York, Baltimore, Maryland, and elsewhere and the on-line singles business, FishInTheSea.com, which is owned and operated by one of her companies, New Amsterdam Ventures, LLC. Ms. Campbell received her B.A. from Mercer University and her J.D., M.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska.

March Featured Expert: Luis Ray
Expertise Key Areas: Franchising/Entreprenuerial Expert
Expert Bio: Mr. Ray holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute ('71) as well as an MBA from Fordham University ('74). He owned and operated a glass manufacturing facility for over 25 years and currently operates a stained glass company which is organized as a franchise. For the last 2 years has been doing consulting work for the franchise industry with a group that represents over 280 different franchises.

April Featured Expert: Patti Devine
Expertise Key Areas: Direct Marketing, Customer Retention, Strategic Partnerships, Entrepreneurship
Expert Bio: Ms. Devine, managing director of the consulting firm Devine & Company, has more than 17 years' experience in solving the marketing challenges of companies large and small. Her firm specializes in customer retention, strategic partnerships, and marketing project management.Before founding her company, Ms. Devine worked for media giant Time Warner. Ms. Devine's passion for marketing has led her to become an adjunct professor of marketing and she currently teaches at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. Ms. Devine holds an MBA from Fordham University Graduate School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from Bryant College in Smithfield, RI.

Expert Bio: Subsequent to his graduation from CBA at Fordham, Mr. DeSilva worked as a CPA at Deloitte & Touche. At Fordham Law School he was as Associate Editor of the Law Review with the majority of his legal experience after law school spent at Hughes Hubbard & Reed and White & Case before joining Entwistle & Cappucci.

June Featured Expert: Jacquette M. Timmons, President and CEO, Sterling Investment Management, Inc.
Expertise Key Areas: Investment expert, Financial coach, and Presentation Skills Coach
Expert Bio: Ms. Timmons holds an MBA in finance from Fordham University's Graduate School of Business and a BS in marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is also a Woodhull Fellow. Ms. Timmons is the founder of Sterling Investment Management, an investment education and financial coaching firm. She has worked in the investment industry for twenty-two years, dedicating more than a decade to teaching intelligent people how to be smarter with their money.
